Cheap Vs Expensive Makeup
Whether you are a makeup lover or not, all women are obsessed with beauty and eventually have to make a choice between the high end and the cheap makeup. Almost every makeup wearer comes to this dilemma at least once in their life.
If you are on a tight budget or if makeup isn’t your first priority then most likely you had prefer the affordable brands easily found in the drugstores. On the other hand, if you have the income to upgrade to the more expensive version of the product, then there is the decision of whether you really should go for it or if it’s really worth your money. It is mostly assumed that if the product is expensive then it is automatically better than the cheaper one. That’s not true.
Many high end brands invest more money in advertising and packaging of the product rather than the product itself and at the same time some products are really worth spending a little out of your budget.
In the end, it’s all about your personal preference and priorities. Using different products on different parts of your face gives you varied result. For example, if you choose between mascara you need to make sure that it is smooth and doesn’t form clumps. An eye shadow may be thick but it shouldn’t crease to make it look more professional and classy. Another important makeup item is the eye liner which is mostly the same and easily available.
On selecting lipsticks some cheaper ones are mostly having a pearl finish and have a peculiar scent, some even form creases and cracks. Whereas an expensive one has a good smell but at times it is quite dry because of being matte and difficult to apply evenly on the lips.
While choosing a good foundation, one needs to choose the one that hides all the imperfections of the skin very well and doesn’t make the skin look very loose. Usually the cheaper ones are difficult to blend and also quite risky for your skin if you are a regular makeup-wearer. It makes your skin dry and at times it’s hard to even the tone of your skin.
Brushes also differ with the prices. Different brands offer you different quality brushes, although this usually affects mostly on those people who are either makeup lovers or their profession requires them to wear makeup regularly. The most evident difference is that the good quality brushes apply the product more vibrant and less patchy.
It also depends on how much durable the product is or how long it lasts without any mess. You can also choose between cheap or expensive makeup on the basis of where you go. If the place requires you to look more classy and professional, then you will surely prefer the good and expensive makeup or if you want the makeup to last for a long time without smudging, you will also go for the good brands. On the other hand, if you are just staying indoors and you feel like doing a makeover with your friends during a sleepover then you surely wouldn’t want to waste your expensive makeup and most likely go for the cheap one or the one that is easily available at the nearest drugstore.
If you need the best results, you should totally go out and try it for yourself. It may be that the products others like are not preferred by you or doesn’t suit you and vice verse. In the end, you need to make sure that your necessities are fulfilled and that you are satisfied with the way you are, either with the cheap or the expensive ones.
